Heard the FI-12 flagships at Hifideluxe this past May; had never heard of Fyne and then met the ex-Tannoy guys that were there. Went back 3 times to hear
music in the room....truly an impressive speaker and a very pleasant surprise at the show.

I’m also interested in this. I was considering a Tannoy Canterbury GR until I came across Fyne F1 series and was wondering how F1-10 would compare to it. I’m also curious how F1-12 compares to F1-10 in a larger room, although the 12 is too tall and too deep for my room, this would be going into a living room. Thanks.

The F1-10 and Canterbury share similar qualities to the F1-10. I used to own the Canterbury GR’s. I own the F1-12’s now and have heard the F1-10’s. The F1-12 plays bigger and deeper, more like a cross between a Canterbury and Westie, but the F1-10 sounds more refined, less colored than a Canterbury to me. I never got to hear a heavily modded Canterbury like Jim Smith’s, but I would guess that would bring it closer in line with the F1-10. In addition to sonics, for footprint and aesthetics, the F1-10 wins in my books too. Just keep in mind the break in is a few hundred hours.
