Anyone here owns a AURALIC ARIES G2? How does it perform?

Re: Auralic aries g2
My friend who had a very complex, dedicated, music computer feeding a top model Lampizator DAC, recently dumped the computer for the G2. He first borrowed a G1 from a guy, that one was better than his computer so he decided to buy the current Aries.
He still has a computer and NAS for storage, then files go to the G2, then to the Lampi. He uses Roon.
The G2 was an improvement especially in the bottom end, went lower and more authority.Aurender ACS10 w/Audioquest Diamond USB, Esoteric N05xd

Re: Auralic aries g2
I have an Aries G1 which I think is the streamer/ file delivery part of the G2 without the DAC. I’m a big Auralic fan. The biggest improvement in my digital system came when I got the computer (even a quiet one, MacBook Air) out of the chain.
With the Aries feeding my Ayer Codex bass tightened, soundstage broadened and heightened, and everything just sounds easier.
I like the G1 so much I just bought the Altair for a headphone only system.
Hope this helps.

Re: Auralic aries g2
The Aries G2 does not have a dac though the Vega G2 of course does. I owned the Aries G2 for short time and moved on to a Lumin U1 that I liked better.
