Re: Led Zeppelin turns 100 years old
I think that more likely than not, they will be remembered. This Rolling Stone list https://www.rollingstone.com/music/m...onder-4-29070/ ranks them at number 14 of the hundred greatests artists. Almost 51 years has passed since Led Zepellin's first album came out. So I'd think in another almost 50 years there will be more newer artists on those type of lists and some of the older artists dropping off. Happens with just about every kind of list (e.g. NBA players).
On this list Led Zeppelin is rated the number one hard rock band of all time - http://www.rockonthenet.com/archive/...h1hardrock.htm On this list, they are rated number 3 - https://www.discogs.com/lists/VH1-Gr...ime-2010/28212 So I'd naturally expect on all such lists that some of the older artists will be displaced but I don't see Led Zeppelin dropping off completely.
Everything of course hypothetically can be debated. Happens with sports and other things. Personally, I just don't see anyone on any of lists so highly rated be gone completely in 50 years.Main System - Lumin U2, Modwright LS36.5 DM Preamp, VTV Purifi 1ET-7040SA with tube buffer, EMM Labs DAC 2X (ver. 2), Torus RM-20, Thiel CS 3.7s, 2 Rel S/812 subs
Back-up 1 - Premium Audio mini Gan Amp, Oppo 103D, 2 Richard Gray cond, Selah SA-2s, Sumiko S5 sub, Teac UD-503 DAC, Carver (modded) C-9
Back-up 2 - Onkyo TX-NR797, Panasonic DP-UB820, Vansevers cond, B&W P6s, PowerSoundAudio S1500 sub

Yes...it makes for a BIG improvement. Every demo I've heard where at Altaira was in the system, folks listened, and then the Altaira(s) were removed, and folks immediately demanded the Altaira be put...
Altaira or Gemini CGS on...
