I’m more interested in the sound of each series and model rather than all the materials and such. But your question is valid.

Re: Difference between Magico A, S and M drivers?

Well some obvious differences are that the M tweeter has a diamond coating while the A tweeter does not. Also the S3 woofers are both 9" while the A and M woofers are both 7". I haven't heard these particular models, but I would imagine they sound quite different from each other.

I wanted to hear the A3 but when I told the dealer I have the Q3s, he told me that I would not like how they sound even though I expressed an interest. Despite asking him twice to listen to the speakers while we were standing in the room in front of them, he did not want to play any music and talked about room acoustics and a specific brand of electronics instead. I was very frustrated and eventually left.

Agree with Mike, more interested how the speakers sound in the room, even two speakers that measure the same can sound completely different.
