Been really quiet on the Integrated Forum for quite a while...

Just sayin'.....Crickit noise, crickit noise, crickit noise.....So, whasup? Any updated news? New stuff in the stores?

I'll try stirring the pot. What are some of the best sounding integrated amps on the market right now? And/or amp speaker combinations? Lets keep the amps under $15,000 and the speakers under $20,000 a pair. It's OK to include lower budget components.

I know this and similar threads have been posted before. But I'd like an updated version. Some examples are so new there may not be many out there yet. For example, the NAIM Supernait 3, Simaudio 700i v2, Hegel H390 and H590 among others. Lower budget items?

You probably know this already but next month you will be visiting one of the best if not the best dealers. Mike and I have been around the block several times. He’s definitely more discriminating than I am but our taste is similar.

Gear that he has is superb and he doesn’t sell gear he wouldn’t own himself. Once you hear a few integrateds, you’ll learn pretty quickly what you love.

Be careful there! I fell for the “this is the amp I use at home bit” and now I have a room full of old outdated tube technology gear!
And almost ended up with tuba looking speakers and a Jack Russell with his ears perked up!

My order got delayed due to The Tax Man and some other finances so I hope to order and add to the Integrated Forum after my Birthday in December. I am still planning on ordering the Luxman 505 before the end of the year.

Why does your current system always seem to sound great just when you are about to order something new?

Even tho the Stratos Amp does not compare to the detail and mids of the Counterpoint, coupled with my old VAC pre, it has been sounding really good. I sure hope I don't end up missing the VAC when I get the Luxman but I am hoping the 30 years in between will shine thru.
