Re: Constellation Revelation Andromeda Phonostage Review
Thanks Mike! Great review.
I’ve owned the Andromeda for about 9 months now. It’s every bit as good as the reviewer says. I usually try to avoid words like “transformative”, but there is absolutely no doubt it transformed my vinyl listening experience. I still listen to a lot of digital music because there is a lot of music I love that I don’t have on vinyl. But if I have the LP, now I listen to that. I had quit buying vinyl before the Andromeda. Now I’m back to buying 10-20 LP’s per month. But vinyl is once again bringing me tremendous enjoyment, and it’s due to the Andromeda.
I’m afraid to listen to it with the optional DC power filter. Several people have told me that it makes a not subtle improvement and I’ve been trying to cut down on equipment purchases!Analog source: AMG Viella 12; Ortofon Anna cartridge, van den Hul Crimson Stradivarius XGW

Re: Constellation Revelation Andromeda Phonostage Review
I am considering the Andromeda but I have a problem. On principle and precept, I do not accept the insane pricing of vinyl now. I am NOT paying $40 to $100 for an LP record as merchants are unabashedly charging.
I already have a decent sized vinyl collection but it is not going to grow much anymore with today's absurd prices.

first world problems upside down. You will spend 20K (most people in the world would call this insane pricing) on a phono stage, but refuse to spend $40 or so on new vinyl.
Perhaps buy some independent new release music on vinyl and support the artist. I know I do.
Better still, go to bandcamp and support the artist directly - and most are under $40. It will make you feel better as well.Source: Technics SP10mk3 - Thales Simplicity II, TW Raven AC-3 - Graham Phantom, SME 3012-R, Exclusive P3,,Linn LP12 - Naim ARO

I upgraded the power supply on my Gigafoil v4 to a Weiss PSU 102. It’s very nice step up. But with the new model, you’re looking at $2000 before even investing in a SOTA linear power supply.
