I had the pleasure of seeing Cecile McLorin Salvant at the Village Vanguard in NYC on Sunday. I have never, ever heard a voice like that. It is truly remarkable. Vocal jazz is normally not my genre, but her arrangements, the skill of her band, and her vocal performance made for a very enjoyable evening. If you get the opportunity to hear her live, don't hesitate. Oh, and her records are impeccably recorded.

    We'll see her in May.

I agree on her albums, terrific sound.

She's the best jazz vocalist since Ellla, Billie and Sarah!

I like her a lot, my girlfriend finds her screechy on some stuff.
