If anyone of you contemplates doing the paint correction / ceramic coating on your car ...

... just do it. Expensive, but well worth the price if you intend to keep the car long term. Makes the car much easier to wash as well.

Here is my car, 4-years AFTER the ceramic coat was applied. Still looks brand new. The detailing shop just washed / clay bared the car to take those pics.

Just had mine done last weekend. Looks great, and no more waxing for a long while.

Wow, it looks incredible (black paint, to boot). How many miles on it? Is it your daily driver?

I love seeing others who take care of their car. Also, this is enough to push me over the edge on ceramic coating.

30k miles. I drive it almost every day around town (I have the Cayenne for the long family trips). The only exception are the days when it is snowing, as we have salt on the roads, which I try to avoid like a plaque.

The car is 100% kept in an underground garage though (no UV sunlight, which accelerates ageing), both at home and at work.

    Great looking car!

Did a C Quart treatment on the M2 a week after purchase - looks amazing even when dirty. Candy coating almost.

OMG! Amazing finish. I need to get mine done. I’ve been watching all the YouTube videos about it. I just need to find the right guy to do it.

I didn't see any pricing for a pair of speakers, any idea?

It will be cheaper for a brand new car - no paint correction needed (unless you want a better than factory, 'mirror like' show grade finish).

My mom is picking up the new 2019 Cayenne in 2 weeks time - we are heading straight to the detailing shop from the dealership to have the car ceramic coated.

Very nice. At my new job, I don’t have the luxury of covered parking (I do at home, though). The Texas sun is a killer but you only live once and I won’t stop daily driving a fun car. I figure I’ll trade in the Cayman before too long for the 911 and will do ceramic at that time.

Re: If anyone of you contemplates doing the paint correction / ceramic coating on your car ...

I just bought a new car and I am contemplating doing a ceramic coating like Ceramic Pro or System X. I live in Minnesota with a lot of snow and salt.

Every installer I talked to does not want you to take your car to a car wash including Brush-less as it will void the warranty. They want you to hand wash it with a bucket of water. During the winter I take my car for a brush-less wash and more importantly an undercarriage wash to prevent rust and to remove salt about every 2 weeks. When I asked them about this, they really did not have a good answer. Plus, they want you to bring the car back every year for re-coating at the cost of $200 despite a 10 year or life time warranty. I am not going to hand wash my car when it is below zero let alone below 40 degrees. The water to the outside it turned off to prevent the pipes for freezing and exploding.

    Any thoughts.

Brautiful! especially considering you had it coated 4 years ago.

Did you have to bring the car in for re-coating every year or so?

Decided to go with Opti-Coat pro plus and Opti-Coat pro top layer. Life time warranty, no need to recoat every year but you can for $120. Installer is realistic about living in MN and needing touch free car wash and under carriage wash.

Smart move, Mechnutt. I would just use a mobile detailer for normal washes. I think a re-coating will be more like every 4 years if you garage the vehicle

After a serious accident, looks like I am getting another C Quartz this weekend on the repaired M2 (which took 8 weeks). Bummer, but at least it will look like candy soon
