    Mary Fahl

I was out of town the last two times Mary Fahl played The Ark. I hope she returns again soon.

    A very emotional track.

Anybody have this CD? I really wanted to purchase it but what I heard on Spotify sounded poorly recorded. Hot or over driven microphone. Nasty when she lets loose.

I just listened to it via Tidal/Roon and it is not the best live recording I have heard. (Previous to this I listened to the Wallin' Jenny's Live album recorded in the same venue and it is outstanding). I think her performance overshadows any shortcomings in the album.

    Jim,

I agree on the Wailin' Jennys "Live at the Mauch Chunk Opera House" CD. I was playing it when I read your post. It is in frequent rotation.

For some reason everyone I mention them to thinks I mean Waylon Jennings. Go figure.

I would take a chance on the Mary Fahl CD if it wasn't $30.

I have just tagged it in Tidal/Roon so I have access it as long as I pay my monthly fees.

A typical victim of the loudness wars, a shame because the music is great.
