    D’Agostino M400 monos are absolutely wonderful ...

Thank you Jock for an unbelievably smooth transaction and insane deal.

My amps arrived yesterday safe and sound. Thank goodness for those flight cases. They even have wheels built in, love that.

Once warmed up and settled in, they are stunning, sweet, delicate, ballsy, 3D and sooo musical.

Absolutely best solid state amps so far.

Studio 2 are playing first and the D’Agostino drives them with ease.

    A true homerun for me.

Thank you so very much Jock.

Congratulations Joe! The M400s are the real deal.

Great for you Joe that Jock let them go at a such a terrific price. They must not even have to work too hard to drive the Studios.

    Enjoy!

Congrats on your new amps and glad they're hitting your sweet spot! Am I correct to assume you're driving them with the Luxman C-900u which came so highly recommended? Enjoy the tunes Joe!

    Thank you guys.

Yes the C900u seems like a great combo. I forgot about the XLR pin configuration but didn’t seem to notice anything off. I’m using my Modwright Sony 5400 sacd player. I have not used that thing in ages. Sounds pretty damn good. I’ll have to experiment some more, but so far I’m ecstatic.

Joe - Just another thought about how pleased you are with the sound of your new amps, is that the DAGs are so pure and transparent that they're allowing you to hear the true potential of the Luxman preamp for the first time. It seems to me as if your previous amps imparted their individual colorations in various degrees which prevented you from hearing the ultimate capabilities of the Luxman. Goes back to the fact that a system is only as good as its weakest link, and that we often may not perceive the full potential of an individual component until upgrading another piece reveals a previously unrealized level of excellence.

Thank you Flemming, I appreciate your kind words.

Bill, I think that might be part of it. These amps take a little while to warm up but once there, OMG! They are sweet, 3D, smooth, expansive 3D, clear, ballsy, detail, zero harshness and very open. Best solid state in my opinion.

The manual says it takes 30 minutes for optimal performance, breathing like a fine wine, but sounds great at start up.

I agree, but as time slips well past 30 minutes and greater then an hour plus, it gets to a very sweet level of enjoyment.

Also I repurposed the OEM power cables to TVs and a Marshall guitar amp making a difference.
