Don't worry....its coming. Same old Esoteric propaganda. The next cycle of "lower models" will feature the trickle down, new fangled, blah blah blah that the Grandioso has. SOS every 2 years so people keep chasing the next upgrade cycle.

Glad I just dropped them. Financial woes tied to their parent Gibson guitars and crazy constant upgraditis for obvious cash grab reasons, which they tried to force on dealers too, was enough for me to part ways.

T+A, Luxman, among others, make fine CD/SACD players thank you very much.

I think Luxman may be the way I want to go for cd/sacd - any news or rumors being made in black?

Layman differences between the 05, 06 and 08?

    For Tmanq :

    Re: Luxman D-08u

I just purchased a Luxman M800a, my dream amp. I already own an Esoteric
K-03x Anniversary Edition in Black, one of 5 in the US, and someone within 10 miles of me is selling D-08u. Talking to Bob Harley of TAS and he thought it would be more of a sideways trade if that. But man, I love Luxman gear. If anyone has heard the two, I’d love to hear your thoughts? Please advise, thanks.

You can add a wordclock like the GRIMM CC1....It's all change....

Highly doubtful that going from K-03X to D-08u would be a sideways move. This would be a significant upgrade for you. A more reasonable analysis of a sideways move would be K-01X to D-08u.
Audio Room: Luxman L-590AX II, Esoteric K-01X, Aurender N10, Clearaudio Innovation, KEF Blade 2, Audeze LCD-XC, Audioquest Niagara 5000, Synergistic Research Euphoria speaker cables, Wireworld Platinum USB and COAX, Audioquest WEL interconnects and Hurricane power cords, Core Audio Designs racks, Stillpoints, HRS damping plates and all that other silly stuff

Living Room: (aka Maria's system): Primaluna DiaLogue Premium Integrated, Audio Physic Tempo Special Ed., Cambridge Audio 840C, Bluesound Node 2, Accusound and Nordost interconnects and cables

Office: McIntosh MA252, Bluesound Node 2, Chord 2Qute DAC, Diapason Neos, Tellurium Q silver speaker cables and Nordost Frey 2 interconnects

Totally agree. They are very different sonically. The Luxman has a very analog sound. Just gorgeous.
