Is everything ok at Vitus? They´ve had the "stay tuned for the launch of our new website in December" message up since November and still no change.

    Re: Vitus SOTA Machines

I don't understand why they have to take down their old website while their new website is being prepared. Surely it would be better to prepare the new website and launch it immediately. That way, people who are looking for information won't be deprived of it! Same thing happened with Boulder and Audia Flight for a long time.

All high end audio companies slow down over Christmas/NY. That's sometimes the only break they get during the year. Btw, I can tell you where the money is being spent at Vitus...on their new, larger factory space & SOTA machines; all of which will enable greater in-house content, quality control, design flexibility and output going forward. Also Vitus is working on a number of new products due for release in 2017...patience! .

I would love to try them with my M3s ... I had the lil SM-011 monos at home and they sounded sublime with my S5 mk.1s.

I've heard a rumor of a more powerful version of the SIA-025 with the possibility of adding a DAC and phono stage modules.

Interesting. There is not much space in the current chassis where the electronics fit around the central transformer.

    Re: Vitus SOTA Machines

Three months without a proper website is too long for one ot the top high end audio manufacturers in the world, unless "stay tuned for the launch of our new website in December" means December 2017.

I have to agree Keith, it´s now been 5 months without a proper website and two missed "new website" launch dates (the second was end of march) Vitus is a state of the art audio manufacturer and should also strive for excellence in the rest of their business units, internet presence matters and missing dates does not look good, better to not chain yourself to a date if you can´t make it. Luckily Mike and Melbguy have written reassuring posts saying all is good chez Vitus otherwise fans such as myself would be left worried.

I asked Hans 4 weeks ago concerning an update of the SIA, because I wanted to order one. He told me that there will be no update in the near future.

Just checked today the Lansche Audio website, because I know there are two new products coming out for High End. Partners already have all the info on their websites.

The Lansche website itself however has no info on them whatsoever. Seems to be a pattern before new launches.

Yes. Hans said the price will stay the same as the SM102 - $67,200/pair. Only change is that he's not including the stock power cord anymore. Sure beats a price increase!

The "stock" power cord is really really good though. I would put it up against any 2k cord. It was better than my Alpha HC and Nordost Frey. Not as good as the Valhalla 2 I was demoing at the time.

But that's a great idea from Hans. Since in this league people are going to tweak more than likely anyway.
