    New Maggies .7

I heard the new .7 yesterday and it appears the sweet spot is a lot wider than the older 1.7i. Off axis was pretty good as compared to the 1.7is in the same room. Has anyone else heard the .7's ?
    Very interesting.

    Re: New Maggies .7

Chris, having owned five pairs of Maggies, wide sweet spot and Maggies are not synonymous. Like when you walk into the Sanders room at the show and all the chairs are in a neat little row, one behind the other. Makes me chuckle. I love Maggies, you just can't beat the value, but I used to say, "Maggies, speakers for people without friends." Still, one of the best setups I ever had for the money was my 1.6's with a pair of Sunfire subs. Geez that sounded amazing. I had this big old McIntosh amp driving them too.

Will be very interested to learn more about your findings. Could this be a new secret sauce from Magnepan?

It was interesting. Of course they were powered by Ayre MX-R Twenty mono's so 4 ohms was a walk in the park for the Ayre. .
