Not Mike but over on devialetchat, supposedly:

- new DAC
- new ADH section
- new power supplies

trickled down from the Original d'Atelier (and even that limited edition TOTL is supposed to be upgraded).

New models come with an expected 10% price increase. Upgrade cost is about Eur 3,500 per unit.

All remains to be confirmed when Devialet makes the announcement as attendees/dealers who attended the Versailles event were required to sign an NDA.

Here's what Devialet has communicated to a DChat member - at least there is a bit more clarity to the changes:

Hi guys,

I contacted DEVIALET after signing in for the update program, asking for more details. I received today an answer (in French) stating that DEVIALET will soon communicate on the evolution of the Expert line... so we have to wait a little bit more

Still, here's a list of new developments and improvements for the new program:


* 5 new patents
* New ADH Intelligence
* New Class A amplifier
* New Class D amplifier
* New power unit
* New thermal control unit
* THD < 0.00025% (stereo)
* Improved SNR by 2.5 dB
* Twice as fast transient response
* Twice as efficient thermal management

Let's wait a few more days !

The thermal Mgt improvement is very important, as they do suffer from thermal shut down and drift .

At today's conversion rate 3500 Euros = 3952.7254 USD OUCH!!!

True. But you would effectively be getting a new amp not just an upgraded one. Ears who have head the new "1000" (or whatever it will be called) say its better sounding than the current version of the Original d'Atelier (which can be upgraded and will remain the (joint) top dog).
