Re: What CD player with Shindo ?
When I had my shindo ( like an idiot I sold it when I should have kept it for a rainy day ) I ran 2 cd. They Ayon cd5s tube output cd . Awesome but no service in the us so I would shy spa way for now .. And the esoteric K-05 another amazing piece with pretty much anything . . The shindo has the abitilty to even step up to the best of the best and still see and improvement , the pre and amps are just that good . You have no limitation in quality of sound , so don't fear a crescendo cause you won't find it

Re: What CD player with Shindo ?
One can view any of the various accounts of Shindo visits and draw their own conclusions as to the preferred source:

That said, it is common knowledge that Ken Shindo did have a Studer CD player and designed the Arome transformer for it.

Re: What CD player with Shindo ?
below is quoted from an old French magazine article covering a visit to another (older?) showroom than pictured above.
La source principale reste donc une platine Garrard, épaulée par des EMT 927. Le lecteur CD est un ancien Studer A730, car 20% des "disciples" écoutent quand même du CD!

Re: What CD player with Shindo ?
Since I was at the Shindo household last week, I thought I would chime in. The two CD players they have currently are the luxman pictured above and a Revox. They had the Luxman playing when I got there on the huge open baffle speakers and Lagrange mono blocks.
