    Aurieges EQ + L

I believe it's been said that the Aurieges EQ competes with the VR and maybe even the Giscours, but what pre is needed to get this level of performance? I'm wondering if the Aurieges EQ + L would be better than a Monbrison for the same price? Could it compete with the Masseto? I have a vinyl only system so the L by itself would never be used.

EQ is the standalone phono stage and L is the basic linestage.

    Konichiwa,
as alway, it all depends of the rest of your system compatibility. With Aurieges you will have only high impedance output, low impedance will match better in some cases. But its more expensive as well, thats one of the reasons for different quality in preamp design.

My guess is that the line stage of the Monbrison would elevate the performance to a level beyond the Auriegies phono going through the L. For context, I'm a former Auriegies (with phono) and Monbrison owner and current owner of Aurieges stand alone phono and VR.
