Re: On the future of Roon...

    Hi Ricky,

I agree with everything you said except that Roon isnít as stable as other platforms. I have literally had zero glitches since I started using Roon about three years ago. The key is I...

Re: On the future of Roon...

This thread has been very helpful. Now that I understand what HQ Player is all about, I no longer have any interest in it.

    Thanks,

Re: On the future of Roon...

I also own a Roon Nucleus +. I have no idea why I would need to add extra computer processing power to convert to DSD 512 or DSD 256. It has been my experience through the entire history of all...

Re: On the future of Roon...

Yikes! Thanks for the warning. Seems strange that Roon would offer this add-on in their software and their own server (Roon Nucleus +) would not be able to handle it.

Congrats Mike! Does Aurender allow you to do a N30SA versus W20SE shootout?

Re: On the future of Roon...

    Hi Mike,

Now thereís a useful suggestion. After youíve set up HQ Player with Roon, if you hear some sonic improvement, maybe you can show me how to do it.

    Thanks,
    Ken

Re: On the future of Roon...

I think the demise of Roon has been greatly exaggerated. No more than wishful thinking on some peopleís part. I still think Roon sounds terrific and has the best interface. Anyone that thinks thereís...

    Hi Jim,

He measured the room, the distance to my listening position, mounted lasers on the speakers for positioning and toe-in of the speakers and used Vandertones to balance the bass. I am...

    Re: DB9 Signature

    Hi Mark,

My Vandersteen 7 Mk2ís are only 29 inches off the front wall and that was the recommended position from my dealer. In fact, he threatened to slug me if I moved them. :)

    Re: Aurender N30

    Hi George,

I would say yes, based on the price. The N30SA MSRP is $24,400 versus the W20SE MSRP of $22,000.

    Hi Mark,

That is a great looking room. The DB9-S really integrate well into the living room without visually dominating it. Big sound and a moderate size. I like my Vandyís for much the same...

I listened to the videos and these G1 Spirits have tremendous dynamics, speed and finesse. Iíve also listened to the previous top Vivid at several audio shows. The bottom line is the...

Congrats Jay on the Wilson XLF! They are really fine speakers with a big sound. I also much prefer them over the Alexx.

I think you will find, as in life, people are more interested in hearing about the negatives than the positives. No one else I know has titled a video, ďM6 ConsĒ!
