    And regarding the other shippers like FedEx or UPS for the lighter stuff, let them pack as its easier to win a claim if they pack the stuff. I got this advice...

    Yep know it well. Golf carts everywhere, they even built a overpass many many years ago just to get the carts from one side of 301/441 to the other.
