i experience harsh highs in my rig when playing LPs ... My set up being the technics 1200G with nagaoka MP500 Bryston Bp17 phono, MC275 and JBL4425... i suspect the phono card to be responsible...

Have you checked the price of the new 5000 series at ML? An integrated with DAC and PHONO, a patented preamp section, and al and all for 8500 $?!!!
