I tried Sling (with the ESPN bundle) and it worked fine for watching the event that I wanted. I have since cancelled and will definitely check out the ESPN subscription in the future. Thanks!

    Spotify HiFi is coming

Interesting take. I still think that the Spotify folks would be foolish not to add $2-$3 dollars for the CD-quality content and use some of that money to pay something extra to the “creators”.

  8. Fremer's Generac problem--whole-house generators and SQ

Electrical items in a typical household run on AC. That incluyes lightbulbs, appliances, Heat pumps, audio equipment, etc. Therefore most home generators deliver AC and there is no need for DC to AC...
  9. Re: Fremer's Generac problem--whole-house generators and SQ

Certainly a First-World audiophile problem. Most people that have a need for a generator in their home will be happy if it keeps the lights on and the refrigerator working.

Re: Introducing Roon 1.8 - COMING SOON

If you updated two days ago, you do not have the latest version which just came out today! The latest version as of today is "build 764".

    Re: Spotify HiFi is coming

    Exactly.

No idea how much Spotify Premium tier will be; I would guess a few ($3 maybe) extra dollars a month.

Agree. Spotify has several advantages over Tidal (and also Qobuz), to note:

    Re: Spotify HiFi is coming

Yes, because Spotify will offer a lossless tier as well. Consequently both Tidal and Qobuz will likely lose subscribers as a result.

    Re: Spotify HiFi is coming

Roon would love to be able to integrate with Spotify. But Spotify has not allowed it. I doubt it ever will.
I have a Roon lifetime subscription so I hope that Qobuz survives.
