Lauren Daigle - "Look up child"

Each song is an hymn. A hymn to melody, a hymn to poetry, a hymn to love, and, for believers, a hymn to God.

This is certainly one of the albums that most impressed me in the last 30 years. It is...

Re: Spock system (the importance of fine tuning)

If I make my own power cables, why didn't I remember before making one for the subwoofer??????
Better bass, better mid range and better treble!! :audiophile::disbelief:

  6. Re: Potential LONG speaker cable run -- should I give up?

Me too. But I stopped using it because I noticed that there was a clear loss of sound quality.
It looks like cables need air around!

    Re: Jay's Audio Journey

The sound is so clear and open that I don't believe they are a Sonus Faber. I've had some (which I loved) and I'm a fan of the brand, or rather, of some models.
By chance, I heard The Sonus Faber...

    Re: Jay's Audio Journey

It would be a surprise to me because I did not detect -in the videos- the typical "halo" around the voice that come from horns speakers (and from what i heard until today, not even Avantgard escapes)...

Re: Spock system (the importance of fine tuning)

The video camera is no longer enough to show the differences.
But I hear the new video and I feel that there is a little bit of what I hear in the room: more detail, with more balance, more density...

The new speakers feet are ready! :woot:
First photo. More a few days of waiting
Will they make a difference? That is my question of almost 400 !! :skeptical:

    Re: Why vinyl sounds better

    Nothing new here.
    More of the same litany.
I dont buy these attempts to find the logical explanation that explains everything.
The question has nothing to do with neuroscience here,...
  13. Re: Why no one has ever measured the speed of light

With this video I confirmed my suspicions that, in audio

    - we need better science and better instruments to measure the differences that our ears already catch;
    - this opens an explanation for...

My Infinity came back to life.
Playing at my parents' house, with modest Nad C320 and C520.

Re: Snake Oil or Contact Enhancer?

Cleaning the contacts is always effective, even if it seems to me to be temporary (even in the short term - or it is the ear that adapts).
Besides that, sometimes, this effect is an imbalance, with...
