    Re: New system ..any thoughts

    It all sounds good!

Having successfully voiced many hundreds of systems to clients' rooms, my only caution would be that equilateral triangles can produce some interesting sound, but usually at...
  2. Re: AV RoomService-EVP (Equipment Vibration Protectors)

I remember back then, as my shop - Audition in Bhm., AL. - was one of Linn's Top 10 dealers - according to Ivor Tiefenbrun...

It was only $795 (!), and, IMO - the best at any price until the...

Re: X150.8 front meter dancing aroundÖ

I really like the people at ZU & their products.

However, IME, all of the ZUs were somewhat less efficient than their specs claimed, when compared to other competitive lines/products and their...
  5. Re: The newest integrated amplifier from Pass Labs is the pure Class A INT-25.

I built slideable stands for each of the three GIK panels. The array is about 1/2-1/4 inch in front of the component racks.

Hmm, I ought to write something about the performance/price ratio of the...

    Nicely Done!
  7. Re: The newest integrated amplifier from Pass Labs is the pure Class A INT-25.

I would love to try the Pass 25, but am fearful that I will love an amp that is a bit - or maybe a lot - under-powered for my RPR demo sessions.

My Pass INT 60 in the rack.

Although I am a huge fan of the INT 60, the VU meter? Not so much, as you can (not) see below:

  9. Re: Anyone own KEF Blades - either version? Thoughts?

    Re: My Getaway

It does look very nice. I like the equipment as well!!!

On the other hand - IMO - it's nowhere near unlocking the ME factor, which looks to be easily available.

    Interesting!

Did he make his recommendation after locating the room's anchor point?

    Re: DB9 Signature

So after a year she missed music so much we bought this new system to once again be in our main living area, with the caveat that the speakers wouldn't be pulled out into the room like the Salons...

    Re: DB9 Signature

IME & IMO, the DB9s & 11s are among those at the top - along with the Vivid G1 Spirits - of those loudspeakers with an especially high ME - Musical Engagement - factor.

    I've not heard the latest...
  15. Re: The newest integrated amplifier from Pass Labs is the pure Class A INT-25.

As long as I don't use it with speakers that are simply too inefficient, it's really hard to find fault with my INT 60.

It's almost as if the Pass guys met up with the folks at Fyne Audio just for...

I do appreciate that you let it run its course.

I waited for a couple of hours before responding, but finally felt led to do so on this day of all days.

    Re: Memorial Day

I served during the Vietnam War and at no time did I ever hear of - or take part in - the purposeful killing of innocent people. Quite to the contrary, in fact.

Re: Vivid G1 Spirits with External Crossovers

FWIW - Unexpectedly, the G1 Spirits ended up being slightly cross-fired at the Anchor Point - the listening seat.

  24. Re: Duelund Speaker Cables for High Efficiency Speakers

Methinks that this comes down to personal taste.

The Cardas have always been smooth in the top end.
