Re: Your Sonos will self destruct in 3...21..

That's really disappointing to read about. As a manufacturer, I get the financial draw to want to pull used pieces out of the market (though I'm not a fan of the practice, as it only punishes...

Having produced products for 27 years, I can say that we haven't seen any product fail from being left on too long. If there's a failure, it's almost always tied to an event like a massive surge,...

Re: Ayre K5 XE MP / V5 XE mini review

    Hey Dave,

Not a problem. A lot of the numbers here look wrong, so I can't really say why he'd feel the V-3 and K-5 do not work together well. There's quite a few people who use the two with one...

Re: Ayre K5 XE MP / V5 XE mini review

I'm really happy you gave the Ayre pieces a chance before giving up on them. Our gear can definitely be more sensitive to temperature and even being moved around than other designs tend to be. The...
  8. Re: What is it that makes some pre-amps stand out from others

Great point, and I certainly don't disagree in the realm of R&D. Given enough time and resources, that's certainly an ideal approach to product design and understanding why this product sounds one...

Thanks guys, I appreciate the welcome!
  10. Re: What is it that makes some pre-amps stand out from others

One of the biggest areas that we've spent regarding sound quality has been the volume control method. There's quite a few ways to handle volume control and every one of them has some drawback. Some...
