Re: Shindo Montrachet with Snell Type A speakers - impedance
Ideally and in a prefect world, it would nice to keep both the Shindo amp and Quads. Of course that would require both an amp suitable for the Quads and a speaker suitable for the Shindo. Pricey but...

Re: 1-2k turntable with montille/aurieges?
According to those who have went from Simplex to Amadeus,( Well Tempered Forum at Audio Circle ) you will get better build quality and a 10.5" tonearm of course. Yes, it also sounds better as well...

Re: 1-2k turntable with montille/aurieges?
With that much wrapped up in Shindo amplification, I'd push the TT budget up to a WT Amadeus. I know a few years ago this table was used quite a bit to demo Shindo, LM, etc. at Pitch Perfect in L.A....

Re: SPEAKERS ON CEMENT. SPIKES OR ISOLATION? Personal experiences wanted
I completely agree with you in regard to spiking source components, amps, etc. Also my experience spiking speakers directly to a suspended wood floor was a sonic disaster as well. Decoupling is more...

Re: SPEAKERS ON CEMENT. SPIKES OR ISOLATION? Personal experiences wanted
I'm in near total agreement with Dizzie on this one. Just about every speaker I've tried in my listening room benefits from being spiked through the carpet to the concrete. The one and only...

Re: Cartridge w/ good Shindo phono stage synergy
I've found that Keith A. ( Auditorium 23) responds to e-mail in a timely manner. I'd say between him and Jonathan, ( Tone) you'd probably get a good assessment on the cartridge/ T2 compatibility...

Re: Cartridge w/ good Shindo phono stage synergy
On more of the "budget" side, excellent results here with a Zu/Denon 103/ Auditorium 23 SUT/ Aurieges MM. Turntable is a WTL Amadeus.

Re: Spade to Banana Connectors
FWIW, I found those AQ's to be awkward and honestly, total junk. I would definitely move on to one of the designs already suggested. Those BFA's look great. Good luck.

Re: Is it possible to wire Conrad Johnson amps in Triode mode? ....
Same could be said of both of my Bob Latino amps. Easily switchable to triode mode with toggles on the top deck. I could experiment endlessly. Eventually just left them in ultralinear. Far more...

I have 2 Grant Fidelity TubeDac 11's. One for casual listening in my family room where it's used for CD playback or Pandora 1. A second in my main system which was modded by Wayne at Bolder just...

Re: Best High Efficiency Speaker for the Money ?
I can somewhat see what might prompt a "restock" charge, but it has nothing to do with actual restocking. If the manufacturer sends a speaker out for audition and it's returned within the trail...

I'll investigate the restocking fee this week when Clayton returns. If it's something like 15%, that would be rather brutal combined with two or three hundred bucks in shipping charges coming and...

I think I could live with either, but didn't spend nearly as much time listening to the Emeralds. The Emeralds that were being played came in at a much higher price point I believe. Not sure they...

I heard the Spatials at RMAF and they were truly one of the best bangs for the $ there. Shamed many of the grossly overpriced big box designs. 100 db efficient, tube friendly, room friendly, wallet...
