    Re: Shunyata Research Announces Everest

Mike: I suspect you have your own reasons keeping this dude's posts in your forum. And I respect that. Do you happen to know where the "ignore button" is? The dude mentioned it to me. I would like to...

    Re: Shunyata Research Announces Everest

I explained to you why, but as I expected, you don't listen. And if you really have no interest in "python sized power cords" then why bother posting in threads dedicated to those very "python sized...

    Re: Shunyata Research Announces Everest

I have two dedicated lines, and one Integrated amp. I always plugged my amps in the wall, in one of my dedicated lines, the second for everything else. When my Everest arrived, I plugged my amp on...

    Re: Something new from Esoteric?

Likely a N-01XD with headphone amp built in. Similar to dCS Bartok which comes in two versions: with or without headphones amp built in

Footers (third party) for Esoteric gear

Any Esoteric owner has experimented with such? Footers you put under equipment, like Stillpoints or Finite Elemente, etc.

The built in footers on my N-01XD look substantial, but curiosity got a...

Congratulations Francisco!! Please keep us updated on what changes you expected, and what changes you're experiencing, once you have a chance to listen more.

On another note, IMO the best deal on...

Mike: are you able to discern any difference between Omega Ethernet and Sigma Ethernet? Thanks

    Re: Esoteric N-01XD

I believe Lumin is only involved with the network bridge with Esoteric. Maybe Peter Lie can confirm that. Tagging @wklie

As far as the Roon Ready is concerned, this will come with a network...
  11. Re: Does Shunyata quantify speaker + interconnect cables they way DTCD is used for power?

I am pretty sure knowing Caelin over the years, extensive measurements happen at Shunyata. Whether they are made public, and most importantly, whether they HAVE to be made public, that’s another...

As of October, Esoteric was working with Roon on that. Two months later.... nobody knows 🤦*♂️

    Re: TAS 312 - Everest & Omega

Someone correct me if wrong, but I think the grounding on Everest is a chassis ground, not signal ground.

And since my components are all powered by the Everest via the AC cords, and all of them...

Re: Unpacking the Shunyata Everest 8000

Being too lazy to replicate here, I am just copying what I wrote my friend on the Everest I bought a week ago:

Godamit!! Every day I come back from work, I am stunned with how good my...

    Re: TAS 312 - Everest & Omega

Agreed! Perhaps the best relatively affordable power distributor in the market

Re: Unpacking the Shunyata Everest 8000

If those components are plugged into the Everest, and they have proper ground pins, why do you have to “ground” them to the Everest via that grounding cable?

    Re: Esoteric N-01XD

It is not Roon Ready certified. It is in process to be certified, but not there yet. If you ordered it after 9/21/20, you are out of luck, you have to wait until Roon certifies it. If you ordered it...

Sorry, I don’t use a NAS. My music is inside my server, internal drive I put inside my Server (a Nucleus)
  19. Re: TAS 311 Review of Everest, Omega XC and Sigma NR V2

    Thanks!

I wouldn’t say in a decade for me, but right up there, equivalent to a component upgrade, like to a better Amp, or to a SOTA DAC. And that is a lot to say in my book.
  20. Re: TAS 311 Review of Everest, Omega XC and Sigma NR V2

Here is a quick update: the Everest is stunning. Completely transformative! Not exaggerating. I cannot believe what the Everest brings to the table! I was hoping it would be an improvement, but never...

    Re: Esoteric N-01XD

I have the N-01XD using it via its Ethernet input / interface, and have zero interest in trying other digital inputs. It sounds fabulous !
  22. Re: recommend to me which Shunyata power cable?

And you are of course, right. Perhaps something like the Venom NR v12 would be the sweet spot
  23. Re: recommend to me which Shunyata power cable?

The EF is the older version of the current XC v2 series. You may want something with NR (noise reduction), such as Delta NR v2, or even better, Alpha NR v2 if you can afford it

Re: Unpacking the Shunyata Everest 8000

Can someone chime in on the small LED lights in the bottom front of the Everest? There are two, the one on top is lit blue(ish), there is no light at the bottom one. Normal?
  25. Re: TAS 311 Review of Everest, Omega XC and Sigma NR V2

I have an Everest coming soon. My current power distributor is Synergistic Research PowerCell 12 SE. This will be interesting to compare. The power cord for the Everest is the Sigma EF, as I could...
