    Re: Ed’s System

I agree with you that everything should be safe and legal.
The guy that make the change in my panel says that is safe. I´m not so sure if it is absolutely “legal” (technically approved)

    But,...

    Re: Ed’s System

Allow me to reply with what I wrote in a Portuguese forum in July 2014
Note that first i made the simple exchange for an ordinary fuse holder and only later for an "audiophile" (AHP)

    Going on...

I think you are a man of experimentation.
But due to your professional training, i understand there are things that are difficult to accept.

And I think this is the way. ;)
Good gear is great for sure, but these are the details that can make the difference between a good sound and a truly top sound.

Re: My girlfriend is not happy

    I wouldn't change the speakers.
    Raidho with treble problems? :skeptical:

I would bet on amplification and then on cables, especially power cables.

But first of all: remove the power...
  8. Re: Avalon Acoustics - Are they still relevant/competitive ?

    Seriously? No. :cryforjoy:
Many audiophiles swear that the most important component is the room.
How can the system play the same way in two different rooms, one with and the other without room...
  9. Re: Avalon Acoustics - Are they still relevant/competitive ?

    Re: Speaker cables

I go further. I believe a good cable can be more important than room treatment if you have a normal room, with normal furniture, with no echo. That´s enough for me.
  12. Re: Component influence on speaker cable selection?

    My opinion too. Absolutely correct!
