Re: Do you prefer SS or tube? Why?

To get back to the original question, I guess I still find tubes win out for ultimate organic sound, as long as you have efficient speakers.
  7. Re: How long does it take to adequately warm up the tubes (power and preamp) of a tube amp designed for home audio?

About 9 to 10 minutes for my HH Scott 299C - 15 minutes for my Scott 296.
  8. Re: Is it just me, or, is Klipsch gaining momentum among serious audiophiles?

I have a pair of Cornscala's which are modified Cornwalls (the Squawker is from a LaScala)and it's about 103 or 104db of sensitivity compared to the Cornwalls 102db. I drive it with an HH Scott 299C...

  10. Re: Classical Music Only | What You're Listening to Now, Or Very Recently | Any Mediums :

I hope somebody agrees with me "Things To Come" is classical and in that vein would you consider the theme of "Game Of Thrones" Classical too?
  11. Re: Classical Music Only | What You're Listening to Now, Or Very Recently | Any Mediums :

The soundtrack of the movie "Things To Come" by Arthur Bliss - London Symphony Orchestra - remastered and to my ears very intriguing.

Cheer Down, "Best of George Harrison". Luv that song!
  14. Sticky: Poll: Re: What type of amps do you use? Tube? Solid State? Both? Hybrid?

Tubes are too much to fuss with? I feel great music is worth it, plus itís a good feeling when you get everything biased and in tune.

Re: What are you listening to tonight ?

I can't believe Joni Mitchell is 75 years old!... It's about time she quit smoking though. Kuoppis - I love your statement “Life’s too short to listen to bad audio.” Right on!

    Re: Tube Integrated Help

Re: So how old is your "oldest" component?

My oldest is an HH Scott 272 from 1960 with a Empire 398 turntable from 1963. I also have a pair of Cornscala's that started out as a circa 1981 Cornwall's and modified about 11 years ago. My newest...
