    Re: Hegel 390 arrives

Very nice Mike! We sure like the H190 and H590 we display....even the little H90 as well. Haven't had a chance to play with a H390 yet. But, performance for the money with their integrated amps is...

Re: Integrated Amps under $6K - Tube or SS

Depending on timeframe, waiting for the new Hegel H390 to come out might be a great option for you. Preliminary reviews show it to be a considerable step up from the H360.

Re: Active Speakers - would you consider?

There's something to be said about more traditional actives like ATC. Feed them analogue via XLR and then they won't be dated by an internal DAC, etc.

    Re: Subaru fans?

Congrats. Have been driving Outbacks for the past 15 years. Spirited driving....no. However, comfortable, pretty smooth on bad roads, great AWD, and lots of space for hauling gear. The 3.6L 6...

Re: Bel Canto's new expensive integrated

The bel canto Black series is in a whole other league versus their half sized components. Customers that have purchased these from us are absolutely thrilled. A big dealer in the US has mentioned to...

Re: Top brands that have no respect

Bel Canto Design falls under the radar far too often. People think of them for their half-width products which have been around for a long time. Good pieces. But their upscale Black or Black EX...

    Re: T+a pa3100hv

The little T+A AMP 8 does not get the respect it deserves. Outstanding amp for the money. I know it very well. I've even successfully run ATC SCM19 and SCM40 with it. These are not the type of...

    Re: Dynaudio Contour 30

Great speakers. We have a pair in one of our demo systems as well.

  12. Re: Do you use an integrated in your main system?

I'm currently using the Bel Canto Black EX integrated and it is easily the best integrated amp I've lived with long-term. The only one I have experience with that I've liked better is the Bel Canto...

Re: What are you listening to tonight ?

Great album. Check the song title though. Giovanni may be an audiophile!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181208/9e3cb10ce119754ca0464f748b425f2f.jpg

  14. Re: Any sound quality difference between FLAC & WAV?

Rip to FLAC lossless with no compression. That way you get all the better tagging benefits of FLAC without potential issues from decoding.

    Re: Cary SLI-100

Interesting that you're mentioning about the 100W spec as John trashed it in his measurements. Both channels really only a couple watts at 1% distortion. Maybe a defective unit.

    Re: Hegel 590

I have a couple of my customers also considering the trade-up from the H360 to the H590. I think it is going to be a very popular piece for Hegel.

Thanks for your suggestion Jack. Much appreciated.
  19. Bolting Dynaudio Contour 20 to Stand 20

We'll be bringing in a couple of models from the Contour range and one of them will be the Contour 20 with the Stand 20 and the adapter plate.

When bolting the stand to the speaker, what are...

    Re: *** Tidal MQA 352.8 ***

I while back I discovered the 2L Master titles were 352 via MQA. However, while they sound great, I struggled finding albums to fit my tastes. One that works for me though is "Polarity" by the Hoff...

    Re: AMP8

It will change quite a bit and those problems will go away. I find it to be quite a smooth amp with a neutral to perhaps slightly warm balance.

Yes, that Brandi Carlile album has some fantastic songs. Another contender for me in the Folk/Americana genre is Gretchen Peters Dancing with the Beast....
  25. Re: The best new album of the year so far...

There are a number for me that make it very tough to call. I also like Fred's Live In Europe, but think I might choose Melody Gardot's Live In Europe.
