Re: 2 channel system and subs.

Yes, I too believe that subs are necessary to complete most systems.
I do question your setup in trying to mirror match the exact location of your subs.
If you look into multiple sub...
  2. Re: Is it time for a major overhaul of the Lumin App?

I agree, the app is rather simplistic. The upside is that it works rather well without hardly any disruptions.
Lumin has added the Tidal play app on it's newer models that helps to more modernize...

Re: Roomplay Reference With Jim Smith

    Jim,
In the photos on this thread I have noticed the half hemisphere covers over the speaker cables.
Is this for aesthetics or are there other beneficial purposes for them?

Re: Recommend For Me A Digital AES/EBU XLR

Do you have any local fellow audiophiles that you could audition/borrow (some) of their digital cables?
Always a good place to start.
The Cable Company also has a lending library (for a fee).

Re: pre amp hiss from 1 channel

Not having the schematic to know exactly how the tubes are used in the circuit, the least expensive way would be to obtain one of each type of tube (I.E. one 12ax7, one 12at7 & one 6922) and simply...

    Re: Qobuz and Tidal

Don't know where things are heading so it will be interesting to get some feedback from others on this.
I have both Qobuz and Tidal as I find some titles on one and some on the other. Happy with...

True, but they could sell the items to fund themselves.
I'm sure China and or Russia and or Iran ++ might be interested in obtaining some of the more technical pieces of equipment.

    Re: modem-router placement question

I have ordered two of the TP mc110cs modules and a 10M corning sc-sc cable.
I see that the TP link has 4 dip switches. What are the proper settings for my A-1?
Also, do I need one or two LPS's?...

I have an Xfinity combo switch router/modem. It is approx 25 feet from my Lumin and I currently use a Supra ethernet cable to connect it.
A friend just purchased a Nordost ethernet cable and really...

    Yep, I understand that.
    Good listening
  16. Re: The DeVille loudspeaker - Fleetwood Sound Co. FSC is a division of Oswalds Mill Audio OMA

Glad you are enjoying them. The do look interesting and would love to hear a pair someday.
However IMO they seem overpriced. A lot of competition at that (and below) price point.
    But then again it...

Have you considered switching to class d amplifiers? WAY more efficient than what you are currently using.
Would save considerably on electrical usage. Gotta start somewhere.

    Re: Subwoofer crossovers

    Thanks Jack.
I am using a .o22 cap in series to my line magnetic amp which has an input impedance of 100K. This gives me a 6db roll off starting at 70hz.
Works really well with my Reynauds. This is...

    Re: Subwoofer crossovers

Randy, From the specs you provided on the FMOD's the purple band at 70hz should do the job.
As Jack indicated, 10K is pretty low for a balanced input.
However I just received a VTV Purifi amp to...
