    Re: Lumin D2+DAC or T2

Very descriptive comparison! Only your ears know. Whether an external DAC would be better depends on the DAC and your subjective interpretations. The T2 has a great DAC component. I’d recommend...

    Re: Lumin, Leedh’ing the way

Which amp are you using direct to the X1? Are you going balanced out? Are you using the X1 as both DAC and streamer?

Re: The biggest secret has been revealed?!

I think he was making a joke that one wouldn’t shake a hot vacuum tube or light bulb for fear of burning one’s fingers. If my assumption is incorrect then I like you don’t get what he is saying...

Very interesting thread. With no intention to hijack this thread, I am including my questions as I contemplating something very similar to what the OP wants to do. My home theater consists of some...

    Re: Lumin, Leedh’ing the way

The Leedh is pretty awesome straight from the Lumin to power amp; I bypass the preamp.

    Re: Lumin D2+DAC or T2

I had a D1 and sold it off. I tried a T2 and did not find it as a DAC to be a significant upgrade. I was fortunate to come across an X1 and that has been the ticket for me. Almost as weighty and...

    Re: Leaving Components On Continuously

I posted on the Naim forum regarding my components of that brand and the consensus was to leave on the power amp, preamp and external power supply 24/7. Naim doesn’t run warm though like a Pass Class...

    Lumin X1 Power Supply Question

Should X1 owners leave the power supply (and hence the power to the streamer) on all the time, even when not in use?

Re: AudioQuest Golden Gate RCA Question

Thanks Tino. I forgot to tell you the issue. The input termination is a Naim DIN which is why I need to know which color is left and right. Thanks!

    AudioQuest Golden Gate RCA Question

Okay. I’m used to white and red RCAs for left and right channels, respectively. Here the colors are white and gray. Which one is right channel (usually red) and left (usually white)?
