    Re: Amazing concept car

Beautiful looking sports car but not very practical. Low seating area and high front end make for very poor forward visibility. Ferrari would never build a model with such poor forward visibility.

    Re: Hello from Albany, NY

I previously had an ARC Ref CD-9 Player and an Esoteric Grandioso K1/G1 Player/Clock for my sources in conjunction with an ARC Ref 10 Preamp. It sounded wonderful with Vandersteen. But when I traded...

    Re: m1 mono

Are these capacitors in the power supply?

I don’t mean to be hard on the M1.1’s. They are excellent sounding amps. Not my favorite but really fine. I just feel for six figures that the monoblocks...

    Re: m1 mono

My tastes lean towards zero negative feedback even with the higher distortion levels. As you dial up the negative feedback, distortion will decline but something desirable sound wise is lacking. My...

    Re: m1 mono

Thanks for your detailed response. So, in the mono mode for the M1.1, are half the amplifier components, other than the power supply, lying there dormant?

    Hi Rob,

These are the exact reasons I asked the original question.

Re: Top brands that have no respect

I would like to add Aesthetix to this list. The Atlas monoblocks are one of my favorite amplifiers for the money.

Re: Amplification for YG Acoustics Carmel 2

YG Acoustics is one of my favorite brands of speakers and I’ve listened to them a lot. I would second Luxman, Nagra and Audionet.

You’ve inspired me, Bob. I’m actually in the Climbing Gym right now. Just did a decent overhanging route.

    Re: m1 mono

Are the CH Precision M1.1 monoblocks bridged stereo amps? If so, that would be a deal breaker for me. Not just for these amps but for any monoblocks that are. When paying top dollar for a pair of...

    Re: Magico M2

Excellent points. The M6 cabinet is the most inert I’ve ever seen. I was pounding on the side of it and it’s like a solid block of steel. When you close your eyes and listen, it does everything the...

    Re: Pass XP22 Preamp Review

Correct Howard. I meant to write XP-30 in my post, not XP-25.

Re: New Wilson Benesch Resolution Speakers

Congrats on your purchase! You could always augment the speakers’ bass response with a fast pair of subwoofers like JL Audio or Magico.

    Re: Pass XP22 Preamp Review

I owned the Pass XP-25 preamp and it successfully bridged the gap between solid state and tubes, it was very natural sounding. The only negative was three chassis. The XP-22 seems to do the same but...

Re: New Borresen Line Of Speakers

I think the most likely scenario is quid pro quo. Speakers for free or cost in exchange for marketing efforts on this thread. It wouldn’t be the first or even second time it has happened around here....

Re: New Borresen Line Of Speakers

I totally agree, Jock. I actually think Le Roy’s D5.1’s sound terrific. He is using DSP to smooth the mid-bass bump.

    Mike,

I haven’t heard anything yet. They’re a great company and I’m very interested to see what they come up with. I’m not purchasing anything until all the evidence is in on both the switches and...
