    Re: Speaker /amp incompatibility

As an experiment, Have you tried reversing the speaker cable polarity at the speakers?
  4. Re: Whole Home Surge Protection/Power Conditioning for Dedicated 20A lines...

Wouldn't pass code in my neck of the woods.
Perhaps it's different where you live
  5. Re: Whole Home Surge Protection/Power Conditioning for Dedicated 20A lines...

Perhaps you have misunderstood my post.
    We are in agreement.
I was only pointing out that running a #10 wire to a sub panel "That has a 60 amp main breaker" is not code.
    As stated, wire size must...
  6. Re: Whole Home Surge Protection/Power Conditioning for Dedicated 20A lines...

I have both the EP 2050 + EP 2750 installed for several years now.
When they were installed I did not notice any change in sound quality.
They are heavy duty industrial products.
    As for your...

Re: Lumin U2 (with internal LPS and SFP port)

There is a setting in the Lumin to enable LEEDH and also set a "maximum" output level (as a safety).
Once you enable it you can control the volume from your tablet/I-phone.
    The Big Hattor is no...

Re: BAT REX II Mono Amps vs ML No536 Mono’s

Can you bi-amp your wilson's using the MLs for the bass?
    Might be an interesting experiment.

    Re: Best of show opinions......

For my taste the Clarisys Audio speakers were the speakers I would buy if I hit the lottery.
When you walked into the room you were enveloped in a wave of sound. Just as at a concert.
    Big, full,...

    Loved this. Thanks Mike
    Brought back some great memories.
I have seen EW&F live several times. One of my all time favorite bands.

    now we're talking.
A power conditioner/grounding box for the "working man".
    Well done Shunyata.
  17. Re: Amplifier for Focal Kanta Nº2 (Luxman L-595A SE vs 507Z or tube preamp)

    FadiNg,
I give you an "A" for effort.
However, have you ever considered that your speakers are the problem?
There is a "camp" of audiophiles that find the Focal tweeter to be excessively "hot"....
  18. Re: Gryphon Amplifiers and Preamplifiers left or right channel

not sure how Gryphon does it but just hook it up the way you think it might be and then play a "left channel" or "right channel" track from "Audio Check" found on either Tidal or Qobuz and you will...

  20. Re: Nice review of the 866 in Positive Feedback

Lots of positive comments on the sound quality of this piece.
I don't care for the looks of it though.
Looks like it had fallen off the shelf and got squashed.
    But each to it's own.

  22. Re: Final Piece of the Puzzle is Here! - Ethernet Audio Video Review Series

Perhaps I have misread his post.
I've read that he has approx 15 switches and did approx 30-40 switch combos. (cables / power supplies etc?)
I wasn't aware that he had 30-40 switches.
    WOW that...

Re: A Friends DIY For Me

Phil rebuilt a pair of Clayton amps for me some years back.
He is a great guy and does class "A" work.
I'm sure you will be very pleased when they are completed.
