Re: New Wilson Benesch Resolution Speakers

I think these are connected the same as you and I, Stigmater? The jumpers appear to be linking the top and bottom pairs of inputs, for maximum bass, as you and I have done. They have then connected...

Re: New Wilson Benesch Resolution Speakers

Those are really interesting speakers, VoicesInMyHead. Nice to see more unique materials science at work. And thats extraordinary sensitivity from a speaker so small with an inert cabinet. Great find.

Re: New Wilson Benesch Resolution Speakers

    Thank you everyone.

Heihei, out of interest, how have you integrated your 2 Torus's with your Resolutions? I realise it is going to be completely different in different rooms. But I know...

Re: New Wilson Benesch Resolution Speakers

    Thanks VoicesInMyHead and Nikhil.

The Resolutions do dominate the room a bit. But they are so, so impressive, and look so luxurious, I think they can be forgiven. ;)

    Nikhil, the Resolutions...

Re: New Wilson Benesch Resolution Speakers

The Resolutions arrived... along with a Torus for bass support. :exciting:

With barely a few hours on them they already sound spectacular. Not to mention, they look UNBELIEVABLE! Even to a person...

Re: Sonus faber speakers. Need opinions.

I found the O1 and O3 to be fanastic speakers, but the O2 was lost in the middle. It seemingly sacrifices some of the sweetness and imaging of the O1, while gaining none of the weight and scale of...

Re: Sonus faber speakers. Need opinions.

I actually agree with most of your assessment and descriptions of the differences, MyJazz123. Though I do not agree that the olympica and tradition lines are not worth comparing. To my ears, they...

Re: New Wilson Benesch Resolution Speakers

Lol. Yes. I know I will be considering the Torus regardless of how the Resolutions sound. ;-)

Re: New Wilson Benesch Resolution Speakers

Turns out the Resolutions that I heard on demo had been wired incorrectly internally so the isobaric woofers were running out of phase, cancelling the bass. We switched the jumpers over and what do...

Re: Sonus faber speakers. Need opinions.

    Hi Stereosignal
I currently own the SF Olympica 3's and know the range quite well. When I purchased them I was also choosing between them and the Guarneri Evo. So I know both speakers.

    The...

Re: New Wilson Benesch Resolution Speakers

I wondered that too, Audio.Bill. But, as much as positioning can improve sound, this was way beyond something that positioning would fix.

I wondered about nodes so I walked around the room, and...

Re: New Wilson Benesch Resolution Speakers

I was planning to order a pair of Resolutions today but had this exact same experience: staggeringly, unfathomably weak bass. It was exactly as Stigmater describes here.

It was so bad it has me...
