Thanks to OP for the detailed post. What had put me off buying a Freya were the reports of noisy tubes etc.
Debating whether to partner the Freya with Emotiva PA-1 monoblocks, seeing as both have... -

I'm guessing its leaning towards class A, but then again it wouldnt be producing 100w per side if so. Bit of a mystery with just 4 kt120 tubes.. biasing perhaps?

And don't forget the (reissue) 7581a. A 6L6 on steroids. It doesnt the sexy bottle shape, but I've read it's very nice sounding from top to bottom

Line Magnetic 501ia tube rolling question
Any owners here? I may well purchase a s/h one of these today, if it's in top condition. This thing uses 480W.. will rolling in KT88's and rebiasing, will this have any affect on my electricity bill?
