    Re: Headphones, got any favorites?

All I have is a pair of Grado 125s that I might use once or twice a year. I will never use any Ear Bud types as I don't care for pushing dirt into my ears.

    Pointers for Pittsburgh PA

Lived in PA my whole life but have never been to Pittsburgh. Looking to book a trip early next year when this passes.

    Re: Live versus Studio recordings

Maybe that is why I can never get the same sound from Jessica Williams - Heather as when I heard it on the Pure Audio Projects with the Field Coil Voxatives driven by a Lampi Int and a Pacific DAC....

    For sure!

I was a little tyke when that came out but I have 3 older brothers. That was always spinning. I can remember a day when my mom was on the warpath about something and her nerves were...

    Re: Live versus Studio recordings

It depends on the recording. I just listened to Marcus Miller - Live and More and it was stunningly lifelike. Bela Fleck - Live at the Quick is also another one recorded well.

    But then look at...

    Re: Forum Boredom?

    Bored for sure

I am at home working thru this whole mess. My company put 22,000 employees worldwide to work from home in a matter of 2 weeks. As of last update, only people who actually need to be...
  12. Re: Anyone here work on old Fisher Gear? 700T

I found several places local enough. Heading to Wilwert Electronics in Hilltown tonight. Best eval price and turn around time plus he ball parked the fix and cleaning right where I wanted to be.
  13. Re: Anyone here work on old Fisher Gear? 700T

I found a local repair shop specializing in Fisher gear close enough. Going to let the pros take care of it.

Covid Wait Time is anywhere between 6-16 weeks. Had to make an appointment just to drop...
  14. Anyone here work on old Fisher Gear? 700T

I recently picked up an old Fisher 700T, Flagship model with first SS lineup in 66-67.

It was working via Tuner when I got it at the original owners house but I did notice the balance only changed...

Re: What Vinyl Do You Have On The Table?

I acquired a stack of new 45s last year that included several Prince picture disks or purple like yours. Under rated guitarist, but he went with the show over the jamming.

Tilting Speakers up and Sound Change

My Dyns have always been on the bass side of things. That was why I bought them to begin with. I have them spiked but on granite slabs. When I was sitting on the floor, the sound was fuller. The...
  18. Re: Luxman Integrated volume control question

The meters on the Lux do nothing more than appear to mimic the number next to the volume control.

You could also count the click on the volume control that also match the db#s

Re: Luxman 590AX Mark II - Such a home run!

Joe, have you tried the Phono section yet? I suppose it's a step up from what I got, but pretty impressive for an Int and not a stand alone box.

Re: Luxman 590AX Mark II - Such a home run!

I have played a bit with the TCs and Loudness but always find myself back on Line Straight. The flexibility is good for resale tho.

I don't own a phone, iPad, or Tablet that can utilize any App or have internet on it, just my trusty 14 y/o Motorola Razer, so all my internet browsing is done on a PC.
