    Re: Borresen Acoustics Loudspeakers

The fact that the volume was higher in the Danish room could also be the result of a low distorsion system being able to handle higher volumes without strain.

Playing too loud at annoying levels...
  4. Re: What Music Server and Dac Will Out Perform My Turntable and Phono Preamp

I would look at an R2R DAC from the likes of CAD, Rockna or MSB depending on budget partnered with a higher end server from Aurender, Innuos etc. together with the CAD grounding boxes. That's a good...

    Re: Borresen Acoustics Loudspeakers

The CH Precision I1 would be the safe bet with "proven synergy" partnered with Borresen (and Raidho) speakers. The best way would be for you to audition them both of course if at all possible.

Re: Bricasti M3 Stereo D/A Converter

I've got all of the contenders here except the Simaudio Moon.

Please elaborate a bit more - what you're aiming for, what your preferences are, what your current system looks like etc.

    Re: Ansuz Cables & Accessories

To try before you buy is always wise. That being said, if you're happy with the performance of Ansuz today, the C2 level will be a valuable upgrade where you can't really go wrong.

    Re: Top Level integrated

The Humbold is on it's way here soon. Physically and conceptually I do believe it can justify the price tag in relation to the competition.

    Re: Top Level integrated

    That's great :)

I would suggest to try and get the chance to hear the top 2-3 candidates in your home as the final stage of your journey together with your speakers of choice.

    This is crucial...

    Re: Top Level integrated

Vitus and d'Agostino are certainly more rich and organic compared to the electronics from CH Precision, which are very neutral without any obvious flavor or coloring of their own.

    I would also...

    Re: Top Level integrated

I would choose the CH Precision I1. It's got the control, drive and neutrality to make the Borresen speakers sign. It's also modular with streaming, DAC and Phono options which makes it more or less...

    Re: Borresen Acoustics Loudspeakers

The obvious choice would be the Aavik U-300 or the new U-380 from the same design team as the speakers. Other than that we've got great synergy with CH Precision here in Stockholm. Dartzeel and Vitus...

    Re: Verity Audio Otello Speakers

That's too bad Mike. I do know that Verity had challenges to deliver the new and most popular models. Avantgarde is something very different though (needless to say).

We (as importers of Verity in Scandinavia) are naturally big supporters of Verity in general and the new Lakmť specifically being a genuine breath of fresh air. This speaker points out a new...

    Re: AMG v12 TURNTABLES

The Turbo tonearm is much easier to setup and fine-tune due to having thumb screws instead of insex screws. This alone will indirectly increase the probability of getting better sound besides getting...

    Re: AMG v12 TURNTABLES

It's possible, but I'm not convinced it would make much sense. Sure, tonearms do matter, but the AMG Turbo is such a high level arm which is also very easy to optimize and fine tune (on the fly) that...

Re: Munich Hi-End 2019 Photos and Commentary

I would love to see a major update to the "Classic line". Keeping my fingers crossed :). They've certainly kept themselves busy with the new series.
