Re: Rotel RCD 1572 is a Winner

Nuf said! The 1072 is a tank and over performer, BUT, the 1572 is in another league. I was skeptical at first but the more I listen, the more I like. The Fynes are also coming along nicely so Bass...

Re: Rotel RCD 1572 is a Winner

So I have had a few days now to play this baby. I really like it a lot. Compared to the 1072, which was also quite good, there is more detail, more bass, more control, and an overall tube like sound....

Rotel RCD 1572 is a Winner

My unit showed up yesterday, a day later than original FedUp Tracking. I was on my way out and had no time to deal with it. I unboxed it before bed and it is gorgeous in Silver and matches up with...

Nice, never did my own but recently started getting it at Mission BBQ. Not the healthiest cut of meat but sure is tasty when done right.
  7. Re: What do you hear different using Balanced XLR Cables?

LOL, glad I asked. I am now more confused than when I posted the question. Almost sounds like it is personal opinion and or preference more than anything. I won't sweat it, I will just keep using my...
  8. Re: What do you hear different using Balanced XLR Cables?

So are we saying that both the Lux and the Rotel have Balanced connections but not Balanced circuits?

I guess both MFGs just added them in case tho opposites component only has XLR connections.
  9. Re: What do you hear different using Balanced XLR Cables?

I just looked up the specs of both the Rotel and my Luxman and both say Balanced XLR. I don't think I will drop a bunch of cash to find out so maybe I can find someone to loan me a pair for a test...
  10. What do you hear different using Balanced XLR Cables?

I have never had gear that utilized Balanced XLR connections until now. My Luxman has one input and the Rotel 1572 has both RCA and Balanced XLR outputs.

Is there a big difference or is it a...

    Re: Beware of smart TVs

We do nothing personal on-line aside from a few mail orders here and there. Everything else is done in Paper and by snail mail, No Email.

So I may be rare, nothing on-line and no smartphone. But,...

Can it be discussed without Politics? I doubt it.

They are devaluing the dollar to the point of collapse to put forth the Great Reset. Invest in Physical Gold and Silver and watch Crypto. The...
  17. Is Teac trickle down from Esoteric? Teac PD-501HR CD Player

Still kicking around what CD player to get if not the Rotel CD-1572 for $1k or under and I came across this little Teac PD-501HR CD Player.

I do not have all the formats it plays but it looks...

    Re: Ave Maria (Schubert)

Awesome! This is a fav of my Italian wife's and sends chills up my arms when I hear good versions. I have always liked the version in the Stereophile Test CD 2.

4 blocks of Sorbothane on top of a 1-1/4" thick slab of granite seems to work for me. One speaker is inches from the TT.
