Re: Any vintage Denon turntable owners here?
Great news !!!
Still happy with the same setup. But I must admit my dedication to analog is wavering. I decided to go on a spending spree last November, and buy some new vinyl. Here it is April... -

Re: Any vintage Denon turntable owners here?
Sorry I cannot be of service, but my guess is that the setup may be out of kilter. But I honestly never owned a Denon tone arm.
I am still playing the Denon DP-755 that came sans a tone arm. I... -

Re: Falcon Acoustics LS3/5a 15 ohms
When I want to hear hifi I play the Falcons with my woofer modules. With bi-amping and the right cabling they respond as a full range floor stander. But when I need to hear music I play them by...

Just heard, Jeff Bagby passed away from Covid. My condolences to his family. I communicated with him a number of times and he was more than willing to share his DIY designs. I was a complete stranger...

Thanks Kuoppis and CPP. I feel better now. I was thinking about renting a house or air conditioned storage garage. How nuts is that ? Driven from my own home by my audio equipment. Kiss the wife...

Audio Tribbles
Been into audio for 52 years now. I have always prided myself with conservative purchases, while saving for my next acquisition. I never spent beyond my audio fund, and had little or no redundant...

Re: Tubed Power Amplifiers. Are the disadvantages too great ?
Like you Chris, I do too. When I go to audio shows like RMAF, Axpona and now the Florida Expo, I am amazed at how many power amplifiers are super impressive. Soulution, Constellation, Roland, Pass,...

Dan: I can appreciate your love of tubes. I have also lived with tubes for many years. My first being a Bogan PA head amplifier and a 25 watt Lafayette guitar amplifier. My first hifi piece was a...

Re: Tubed Power Amplifiers. Are the disadvantages too great ?
Just simple ones, like tube degradation, low power, limited ability to handle less than 8 ohm loads, bass overhang, rolled off high frequencies, quality tube availability, high cost of power tubes,...

Tubed Power Amplifiers. Are the disadvantages too great ?
Had a thought yesterday about tubed power amps. I have many friends who will never consider a solid state power amplifier. I am not one of them. I certainly understand the fluidity and “beauty” of...

Re: Would you abandon your expensive cables if there was a much cheaper alternative?
I assume “cable sceptic” translates to “cable skeptic” in USA lingo. Not being derogatory in any way, just clarifying. I would have preferred being a cable skeptic, as it would have saved me...

Yes, Better is better regardless of cost. At one time my cables were all silver. I loved the liveliness and extension. In time this became tiresome. Presently I have zero silver cables in my rig, I...

Thanks anyway.
You should ask your dealer to bring the CH stuff he wants to sell you for home audition in your system. IMO there is no way to tell what will sound better in your system.
