Re: Sub Woofer Pop (!!!)
Thanks to all who weighed in. I contacted SVS who asked me to send them an audio file of the issue. That was not an option as the problem was intermittent and I was not in a big hurry to try to...

Re: Sub Woofer Pop (!!!)
Great service. I just sent them an email.
Here’s a good story: after having the sub a couple of months I saw that I had a credit on my credit card from SVS for $500. No idea what that was for. I... -

Re: Sub Woofer Pop (!!!)
Right — had been powering everything on at once. Amp warms up, then preamps click on after a minute or two. Never had the issue until today.

Re: Sub Woofer Pop (!!!)
Agree that’s conventional wisdom. I usually turn everything in at once without issue. The sub “pop” is new.

Sub Woofer Pop (!!!)
Need some advice on where to start troubleshooting: my ARC REF6SE and SVS sub have started to misbehave. About a second after taking the ARC off “mute” I get a very loud pop (low frequency) through...

Re: ARC REF6SE Review
I just upgraded to SE on my Ref 6. I’ll add that the difference is clear. The most stringing observation so far is that it sounds “quicker” — a couple of times the music attack had me almost jumping...

I was trained (by my dad) that you never clap if the conductor’s back is to you. A safer bet then the baton rule?

Re: DAC help.....
Given the quality of your other gear I’d consider getting your MacBook out of your system and replacing it with a streamer/ DAC. I have an Auralic Altair which I preferred (narrowly) over the Mytek...

Re: Auralic aries g2
I have an Aries G1 which I think is the streamer/ file delivery part of the G2 without the DAC. I’m a big Auralic fan. The biggest improvement in my digital system came when I got the computer (even...

Re: Headphones for travel - noise cancelling or not?
I’ve tried about everything as I log over 100k air miles per year. For me SQ and portability (small size) are key. I like always having my headphones with me so have most recently used IEMs which I...

Re: Internet speed required?
Tell me about it. I live in the country and the best DSL speed I could get was 4mbps. My home theater guy suggested I get another DSL line and then bridge those one lines to get 8mbps. It worked. And...

Great “real world” set up. Beautiful. I bet the proximity of the OED set makes the music sound better.

Thank you for your opinion. I’d be interested in buying your Cardas cable if you’d like to part with them. I do neeed a 10 foot length, however.

Ayre Codex and Balanced Headphone Cable
I just upgraded my DAC to an Ayre Codex. Wow! The headphone output is an improvement for me, too (surprisingly, over the headphone output of my ARC SP20).
My question: do any of you have... -
