I very much agree. I prefer Baltic to even the TRP, but its a matter of taste. Some very decent SS Dacs out there, but Lampi with Vol Ctl is very hard to beat.

Actually to my mind, the Horizon has elements of the Baltic, Atlantic TRP and the Pac all rolled into one and taken to an extreme level...17 linear power supplies 5x overspeed.

The blue Psvanes are champion tubes. What will U save by excluding the stock recti? Not much and if nothing else, you use it fr burning in and warm ups. The Baltic 3 manual was recently released.

Depends on the tubes...if you mate a GZ34 or a RK 5u4g rectifier t the blue psvane balls, then those tubes add a maximum of 4 inches to the Dac height. Circa 9 inches in total height for RK and 8...
