    Re: I REALLY think I am done

    Agree with this. There is this gnawing, "hobbyist", drive in many of us to read forums, view the exercise of moving components in and out of our systems as fun or cool (it's not), and playing around...

    This whole story relates to conflict and splintering withing Upscale importing. Tannoy has just been taken along for the ride. Fyne does benefit in the end.

    Re: Surge protection

    What an impressive system...would love to hear it. The StromTank sounds like a perfect solution. Looks like entry to play is around $15K. Just dropped major coin on a pre, so a StromTank is going to...

    Follow up to above. With some tweaking, the midrange peak smoothened out. The overall tonal qualities are of a slightly forward presentation, roundish bass, lovely density and tonal qualities to...

    Surge protection

    Hi;
    I seem to get some surges that affect my Grimm Mu1 and Mola Mola Tambaqui, frequently causing the Grimm to reset, and occasionally causing the MMT to freeze.
    I have a Nordost Qbase which really...

    That's an amazing setup! I've been thinking about moving to the Harbeth PS3 or the KEF R3 Metas.

    I've had a week with the unit in my system. I am going from no pre to this, so some findings are likely not just characteristic of the P-3. The sound stage is moved forward, with an excellent...

    Re: Jim Winey - RIP

    Yes. My med school years were buffered by my Maggies, driven by a B&K ST 202. Marriage forced their resignation... Maggies were fantastic, and I thank Mr. Winey for his contribution to audio.

  25. Re: LTA/Steve Guttenberg/Are there true bargains in the high end?
