Except I actually find their music sophisticated. The beauty is in the details.

Those one microphone recordings are the closest to mono you can get while still sounding very wide.
What I mean is, it is one point stereo.

I have not heard this reissue but all those albums were recorded very well and the music is simply marvelous. Musically you can´t go wrong.

Kurt Elling is fantastic when he is a guest with another band, his own records are good but these are even better.
