Re: Pass Labs HPA-1 Headphone Amplifier

Yes this is correct. No balanced out.
I have the Auralic Taurus Mk11 and I do love it, but this Pass labs amp is certainly gaining a lot of interest. -

    + 1 ... I have to agree
  4. Re: Any Melco streamer fans here? Looking for your input.

To sum up I think the Melco is very good value. I was worried that it would not be as good with the AIR feature from Devialet. I was also a little cynical as I did not know what it would add. After...

Yeah I think that's my thoughts too
  6. Re: Any Melco streamer fans here? Looking for your input.

I am not technical I am afraid so would not know how to install this , I would also be scared to mess things up as Kinsky works.
A Melco app would of course be very welcome
  7. Re: Any Melco streamer fans here? Looking for your input.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, but I have tried both of these apps, but both have issues.which is a shame as they are both superior to Kinsky.
The Arcam app repeatedly loses my Devialet for some...
  8. Re: Any Melco streamer fans here? Looking for your input.

I've had the Melco N1A for just over a year now. I got it as I gave up on the Devialet AIR function.

It sounds great to me and every bit as good as AIR if not better . It's solid and reliable...

Re: PMC 26 v Sonus Faber Olympica 2

Well the only decision I have made for definite is the 23s are being replaced by either the Olympicas or the 26s.

On a serious note, my head says the 26s are more suited to my room as...

Re: PMC Twenty 26 vs. 23

Re: PMC Twenty 26 vs. 23

Thanks for the detailed reply. As you know I have some 26s on trial right now, and I find the difference between them and the 23s massive. My room is 14ft by 23ft so that might be bigger than yours,...

Re: PMC 26 v Sonus Faber Olympica 2

Think the Olympicas have a better room filing sound than the 26s.
The 26s sound more boxy to me , like I know the sound is comimg from the speaker.
With the Olympicas the instrument separation...

Re: PMC 26 v Sonus Faber Olympica 2

Well I still have the 26s in and they are an excellent speaker, but at this stage I think I prefer the Olympica.
Its early days though so I will keep the 26s in for w little while longer.
    I just...

Re: PMC 26 v Sonus Faber Olympica 2

yes I have the 23s at present and they have the transmission line. Sometimes I think some of this stuff is all jargon and not sure what difference it makes, but in this case it's very noticeable.

Re: PMC 26 v Sonus Faber Olympica 2

The PMC 26s arrived earlier today

Well a few hours listening now and this could be a difficult choice

The 26s are also excellent and a massive step up from the 23s. My first impression was...

I am in the UK. The PMC is 6K and the Olympica 2 is 6.25k.
I am not that good at describing what I hear I dont think, so I would not get too excited.:D
I will go with the speaker I enjoy more. My...
