Re: Magico S5 mk3
Might have been easier to understand the price increase if Magico had called the new S5 an S6. It appears to be a lot closer to an S7 than it used to be, on paper anyway.

Been using the Berkeley Reference DAC since Version 1. They sound different from other DACs (in a good way IMO) and for me they hit the sweet spot ... not inexpensive but a reasonable price for true...

Right now my PassLabs XS300 amps are on Shunyata Sigma HC power cords plugged directly into the wall... each on its own dedicated circuit.
What would have the most positive impact on my system...... -

So... what improvement could I expect if I put a TYPHON T2 in front of each of my amplifiers, which are presently plugged straight into the wall?

Pilot Vanishing Point retractable fountain pen. Sits in your pocket with the (retracted) nib pointing up, so much less issue with leaks. I have several of them. :)

Great answer. I would suggest that the word anchor is not the best word to use in this regard. I would call it a keystone... the central principle or part of a policy, system, etc., on which all else...

Seems an appropriate analogy - the delicate art of high fidelity has evolved into the manly art of audiophilia - a contact sport.

Top-tier isn’t hard to define: of the highest level or rank with regard to quality, reputation, or importance.
That said, it will mean different things to audiophiles, reviewers, dealers,... -

I suspect that the Class A and A/B amps don’t warm up at the same speed. Further, the power output, number of chassis involved (1, 2 or 4), whether they’re stacked, racked, or separated from other...

I upgraded the power supply on my Gigafoil v4 to a Weiss PSU 102. It’s very nice step up. But with the new model, you’re looking at $2000 before even investing in a SOTA linear power supply.
