If you like the Nordost I would go with Ansuz purely based on sound. Kimber work with any setup

    Re: Bashing...

Sorry Myles. I read that on someone's post. My point was it's all subjective and some hear different than others. If someone says a certain type of gear is the best it needs to be followed by "to my...

    Re: Bashing...

Myles, that's why you don't go to other websites. I'm a SS guy but certainly enjoy tube gear as well. I think the bashing gets started when people start speaking in absolute terms. You yourself said...
  5. Re: Tannoy and Shindo - A Match Made In Heaven?

I'm going to try to Tannoy and Airtight soon. I hope it is a magical combination. Westminster, ref pre and 211 amps. I think I am turning into a tube guy.

Re: Power Cords - what's your favorite?

The picture fro posted is actually a high fidelity cable made near me in Dallas or McKinney Tx. Definitely on the high end side, their top cable for a 1m is 13,500

Re: Power Cords - what's your favorite?

I have used a bunch of high end cables and at 1500 retail, the Kimber PK10 is a tremendous bargain. It is extremely quiet and you don't realize it's in your system.

    Re: Accuphase A-70

27k retail. I don't think the Pass XA.8 is on the same level as Accuphase in performance or build quality
  10. Re: Hegel H30 - Does anyone own one or at least heard it? ....

What do you guys mean when you say neutral? Are you speaking of frequency range or coloration? All electronics will color the sound in one way or the other, Some brands just more than other brands....
  11. Re: How you like the Air Tight products ?

Re: NuVista 800's in the shop

A couple of our members had a shoot out with MF6500i, Hegel H300, Naim and Rowland with D3's. Both Mark and Jock chose the 6500i as the clear winner to their ears. Integrated's typically work well...

    Re: Box swappers - misunderstood.

You can always get more opinions about gear from the box swapper. Keeps Agon up and running. Lowers pricing on used gear for the non box swapper. Many benefits the box swapper provides

Re: NuVista 800's in the shop

D3's just work best with neutral electronics. Nothing added to the bottom

    Re: Brilliant Art Dudley's article

When I visited Harman for JBL Synthesis training we toured the entire facility and it was a little overwhelming to see all the testing areas. It's obvious they have deep deep pockets. I don't think...

Re: NuVista 800's in the shop

The T+A HV series integrated is 16800 but I only have the MP3000 DAC. The build quality is close to the T+A. Not sure on a NuVista source yet. It would be fun to compare to the T+A integrated with...

Re: NuVista 800's in the shop

Fit and finish and overall build quality is incredible. Not sure where it's made and don't care. Why all the negativity towards a model you haven't seen, touched or listened to in person? Do some...
