Do you have a music streaming service already?
If you are wanting to explore, for low cost, the Wiim units are well regarded.
But the Eversolo is well reviewed as well. HiRose is another brand.... -

Modules the same, yes. Just no modular bays in the DAC box now, Digital Director comes with DAC, and Power Base (new single power connection cable). Modules go in DD, like the current ones.

Nice enclosure, but a fan is a non starter for me. BUT, my DIY fanless NUC, running ROCK was nearly twice that price (NUC + Akasa case). The ROCK OS is free of course.

The LFE business is Low Frequency Effect. If using the subwoofer primarily for multi channel video replay, LFA makes more sense. I’m not actually sure if LFA uses a different crossover point (lower)...
