    Re: Avantgarde Duo XD

Fantastic Mike - as an ignoramus , I'd love to be educated - what do horns sound like with big amps like the Constellation and SS vs tube?
  3. Re: Review - Audience ClairAudient 1+1 v3 speakers

Hi Darrin, Thanks for the review. Couldn't agree with you more. I have happily owned the 1+1V2's for some time as a desktop system and they have stopped everyone that has heard them in their tracks....

Wonderful coverage and thoughtful comments Mike, many thanks for the effort it must take to cover so much ground in the allotted time.

    Re: Gryphon Antileon Evo

Big shout out to Mike's comments on CH. I had the L1 (dealer demo) hooked up to my A1's with a P1 phono stage into Magico Q3's. I thought CH had invented a strange A-to-D converter , making analog...

    Re: NAIM Uniti Nova

I recently sold off all my gear in a second system and got to the point where I had nothing to drive my Q3's with while I waited for the replacement Cavalry to show up. I did however have a Nova...

    Dear Mr. Rasmussen

As the author of the note that you have Referenced , perhaps it is appropriate to answer your thoughtful note with some points not in an antagonistic fashion but perhaps best...

Slowing down Mike , this LP set's been out for a while :-)

In any case , far cheaper to buy ex-UK from Amazon UK

Re: Kronos SCPS-1 - Kronos does it again!

There is no way it could be a 100% improvement, my sources are pointing to 83.4% as the most accurate number....

    Re: EAT KT88 Diamond

Gotta know where to look . Actually I use TT21's , they're easier to get , identical to KT88's except the anode is stuck on top so you need a modified tube adaptor. Patience my Grasshopper and you...

    Re: EAT KT88 Diamond

Stop goofing around Mike , you know there's only one answer - GEC KT88's or TT21's . I use them in all my amps - 24 in total . Bullet-proof, will run for thousands of hours without a hitch. Sonically...

    Re: VAC Signature iQ200

Hope it works out for you Mike, I wouldn't put them in my 450IQ's . It's not just about bias but whether the power supply is able to cope with 2A of filament current vs 1.6 on the KT88. I bet my GEC...

Well based upon my experience....and I think I know a little about analog , if you're getting a loud pop out of your speakers on a cueing action , you've got a serious mismatch between impedance and...

    Re: VAC Signature iQ200

Beautiful Mike. They really look outstanding. A word to the wise (as an IQ amp owner) - the circuit can be a little finicky on sharp transients which cause the IQ circuit to kick in & essentially...

    New Kronos Product Introduction

Just saw this on Louis Desjardin's Facebook page. Wonder what this is......perhaps a battery power supply?

    His comment reads

"KRONOS will be introducing its most important innovation to date,...
  24. Re: Gryphon Audio. Probably the best gear in town?
