Re: HRS Damping Plates
Over the years I have most definitely been guilty as charged, back in the late nineties the UK HiFi press wash awash with glowing reviews of Nordost, and when a Thor came up ex dem I grabbed it, and...

So (and I don't mean to be impolite) you bought these things and in spite of their cost, you're basically happy they haven't made your system sound any worse?

Re: HRS Damping Plates
Way back in 2009 I think I bought an ex dem Accuphase E450, and was persuaded by the eulogies of the dealer to add a couple of these....the amp remains wonderful & the damping plates remain at the...

Re: Allnic. L3000 Mk. II
I just recently bought a lightly used 1201, and imho it's stunning, and the dimensionality is certainly there. I got to hear the 300b Integrated amp recently at a show, driving some modified Snell E...

Re: Disappointing Harbeth 30.1 !
I don't tend to take much of what Alan Shaw says very seriously (amps do sound different & stands really do matter imho), but the recommendations for the M30.1's suggest 25w upwards. His own choice...

Re: Disappointing Harbeth 30.1 !
There are a large number of Leben CS300 owners, and a few Line Magnetic owners who might just disagree with this blanket statement. 28w of Unison S6 does just fine, notwithstanding my comments about...

Re: Disappointing Harbeth 30.1 !
Jerome, I hope you know I respect your opinions, but on this one we part ways, the speakers you are describing simply bear no relation to what I'm hearing from my M30.1's, and I'm honestly a bit...
