    Re: The Totem Acoustic Hawk

No question about it - glad you are enjoying the Hawk's as much as I did. And I never even tried the beak(s) on mine :disbelief:

    Re: The Totem Acoustic Hawk

I still recall the day a sort of buddy called to ask if I would help him unload and hook up his brand new Totem Hawks. At that point I had never heard a pair of Hawks but had heard much about them. ...

Re: Why so many Used Hegels for sale?

I think most of the Hegel you see for sale is the integrated's - they are far more common then the separates are used. I believe this is largely due to the fact that in the past year and half Hegel...

Re: Hegel - Made In China - Who Cares?

I am a huge fan of Hegel and an owner of a Hegel H160. While it doesn't bother me the H160 may be built in China it does bother me that Hegel is not open & transparent on where they manufacture.

    Re: Hegel H160

In spite of all the current "where is Hegel manufactured" threads floating around out there I am still hugely enjoying my H160. Not surprised the new H360 is adding DLNA and airplay - both very well...

    Re: Integrated Amps

    I am a long term MF fan (KW 500 & A1008 integrated's) who has recently become a Hegel addict (H80 & H160)

Hegel and MF voice differently and both are excellent units - personal preference should...

Agreed. That "sound engine" patent Hegel has seems to have me hooked. Whatever it is.

    Re: Hegel H160

Thx! I did consider the H300 very seriously - went with the H160 as it can directly stream DLNA and AirPlay - I stream a fair bit in this system so that was a benefit to me. Curious how it will...

    Re: Brilliant Art Dudley's article

My brother and I did some blind tests a few years back...suffice to say we also surprised ourselves with the results. I enjoy non blind comparisons as well but recognize there is a difference.

I suspect the audio review game would not go so well if "blind tests" were the standard. Interesting that wine competitions use blind tasting as a standard and the industry still survives, in fact...

  24. Re: Do you have both a Solid State and Tube System?

For me the tube system is great for when I have time to listen to tubes (warm-up and all that good stuff) and the SS system is for all of the times I don`t have the time. If that makes sense.
