I have a pair of Tetra 406 speakers that have a warm midrange, decent highs and bass and images great. It also has a small footprint. They can sometimes be found used on CAM and other sites.

Digital radio on my main system is not so hot but on a clock radio it is fine. Compared to the fidelity of shortwave radio stations, it is definitely an improvement.
